An image of a English country garden with a water fountain in the foreground and a castle in the background.

The sun hasn’t managed to peek its head from behind the clouds just yet. However, spring is most certainly on its way, and what better way to embrace the coming warmer months than by taking a relaxed trip to some of the best country gardens the UK has to offer?

At Guideline coaches, we take the stress out of travelling, so you can sit back and relax until you arrive at your destination. Whether you have a small group and are looking for midi coach hire, or are hoping to take a trip away with a large group and are in need of a super executive coach, we can help.

You needn’t travel far to immerse yourself in beautiful surroundings, so if you’re looking to explore somewhere new, or simply want to get away for the day, we’ve compiled a list of the best country gardens to visit this March:

 Evenly Wood Garden

Spreading across 60 acres, Evenly Wood Garden is based in the delightful Northamptonshire countryside and contains a fascinating collection of plants.

Evenly Wood has an unusual band of acid soil, based in an otherwise predominantly alkaline space, providing the opportunity to cultivate an array of plants that would not normally thrive in this area.

Open seven days a week, with food available on the weekend, Evenly Wood is a great place to visit with friends, family or even on your own for a relaxed day away.

Michelham Priory Gardens

Created around the historic Michelham Priory structure, the gardens in East Sussex are a balanced mix of both formal and natural planting styles, providing a real treat to the eyes of any visitor.

These gardens are home to the UK’s longest water filled medieval moat, containing a variety of interesting water plants.

Osborne House

Being originally designed by Prince Albert for the Royal family, the gardens of Osborne House, based in the Isle of wight follow an elegant and formal planting arrangement. The gardens are split to reflect a variety of themes, with fruit, flower, and exotic plants on display. The impending spring months provide the perfect opportunity to meander around the grounds, enjoying both subtropical plants and trained fruit trees.
