Halloween Activites And Events Around The UK

Can you believe Halloween is just around the corner? This year has gone so quickly, but those of you who are mad about Halloween may be thinking it hasn’t gone quick enough! There will be plenty of events throughout the UK celebrating the spooky holiday, but here at Guideline Coaches, we have picked a few of our favourites to share with you.

Kent: Hop Farm

If you are celebrating Halloween with kids this year, then we definitely recommend a visit to Hop Farm for family-friendly activities. During the October half-term (19th-27th), there is a vast array of spooktastic treats, including pumpkin carving, face painting, magic shows and so much more! They are even bringing in The Gruffalo on Tuesday 22nd for meet and greets! Kids are guaranteed to find something they love here, with activities starting from 11:30am to 4:00pm (3:00pm at the weekend). Take a look at their events timetable to pick which activities you don’t want to miss!

The National Trust

The National Trust is very good at celebrating events throughout the year, and Halloween is no exception. With over 500 properties to visit throughout the UK, it’s easy to find a spooktacular event near you. From pumpkin carvings and face painting to spooky trails and ghostly stories, kids, as well as adults, will find fun activities to celebrate the Halloween season.

London: Walking Tours

London is full of amazing history, but some of that history happens to be a little bit chilling. With murderers such as Jack the Ripper committing his crimes throughout the town, and plenty of ghost stories to pique your curiosity, London can be a frighteningly exciting place to be around Halloween. There are family-friendly walking tours as well as those just for adults; some have a unique aspect like The Ghost Bus Tours, where you travel throughout London on a refurbished double-decker, or the Halloween Delicious History Tour, which mixes food with history. There are many options to choose from, just have a look London’s Visitor Guide and see what takes your fancy.

Yorkshire: Scare Grounds Scream Park

Our last suggested Halloween activity may be the scariest of them all. Based in Wakefield, Yorkshire, the Scare Grounds Scream Park is an outdoor event with separate attractions across 24 acres of land. Their website recommends the event is suitable for those aged 12 and over but parental discretion is advised. The attractions are live-action walk-throughs with actors and special effects, but there is an attraction suitable for all ages, which is Jack’s Big Top
Giant Jumping Pillow. Head over to their website to book your tickets and find more information.
